why is all the contests today ''online registration'' what ever happened to the day when you signed up right at the contest.
 

I can see letting locals sign up at the contest , a qualifier or final that has no qualifing rounds , I think that a lottery for spots in a qualifier for out of towners may be better than just plain on line registration.
 

What are you implying when you post a topic of this nature? . Are you trying to get someone to say something that you actually feel about the shea's and the ifoce without your name being directly involved? It would sound much better if you posted it as " What are your thoughts about horrible treatment of eaters in the ifoce" instead of making it more of a general topic. You are retired from the sport so why are you scared to speak your mind?

YOU want to know my opinion of competitive eating? It stinks. When two people are running a show that never ate competitively before , what does that tell you? Do the football coaches that wear suits and ties (and there have been many) ever win superbowls? You need eaters that have competed at the table running the show and not slick dressed cheap car salesmen.
